In ''[[Fortnite: Save the World]]'', players are able to play as different Heroes belonging to each unique class with abilities. The four type of Hero classes that can be played as are [[Outlanders]], [[Soldiers]], [[Constructors]] and [[Ninjas]]. 

Playing the storyline, or engaging in activities will help your chances in obtaining more heroes. By using whichever hero, belonging to the class you choose,  you will gain additional benefits that will increase your Hero squads overall power. To gain more Hero power, you can match your supporting heroes with the team perk you choose. Together, many bonuses will be in your favor.

Hero abilities can be unlocked by evolving your Hero. Tier 2 evolutions grant the second ability and tier 3 evolutions grant the last ability.
