Hit the Road is Limited Time Event in Fortnite: Save the World, taking place during the Blasted Badlands Season. It takes place in a zone located south-west of Canny Valley.
Grab three other players and help Quinn, or other Homebase characters get to the Radio Station to spin their Song of the Summer in the road trip adventure each week. The Character you're hitting the road with travels in a hover-truck, complete with a mobile Storm Shield bubble that protects you from the Storm outside. If the Hover-truck loses all of its health, the road trip ends, but players earn rewards based on the number of objectives completed. Lars is guiding the way to the Radio Station and is the primary narrator.

Structure[]
- Players start the trip without gear or supplies, making scavenging and harvesting a top priority.
- Only traps are craftable, ranged and melee weapons are not.
- As such, players start with a few “hand-me-down” weapons, and must scavenge for weapons that are scattered throughout the route.
- Chests in Hit the Road spawn tier-appropriate weapons, traps, and resources.
- Along the route are four randomized objectives, each with challenging gameplay and a variety of upgrades.
- Search everything you can for cassette tapes, helping Lars craft the perfect summer mix tape, and earning some Road Trip event tickets.
- If a player is knocked out, they will have to wait until their team reaches or completes an objective before they're able to respawn.
- Get to the radio station, and protect the Hover-truck from a final enemy wave.
Objectives[]
A set of four randomized objectives are required to be completed in each mission of Hit the Road.

Feelin' Blu | Collect BluGlo from the surrounding area to provide energy for the truck | Requires players to collect 12 BluGlo from around the area. This special BluGlo is not marked on the map, doesn't get added to the BluGlo counter in the Quickbar, and cannot be used. |

Bridge Out! | Build a metal bridge for the truck | Requires players to construct a bridge of 28 structures out of Metal. |

Strangelands | "And now for something a little... different." | The van slows down and stops in a little town, with an Epic Zapper Miniboss spawning shortly after. Eliminate the Miniboss and the remaining Husks before the van can proceed. |

Minor Delay | Rescue survivors stuck in the mine | Rescue 7 trapped miners stuck in the mine underground. These special Survivors do not count towards Daily Quests. A little more than 7 are spawned for leniency's sake. |

Signal Boost | Build a tower then collect a radar dish and place it on top | Construct a Radar Tower out of any material, then locate the Satellite Dish nearby to place it at the top of the tower. |

Pit Stop | Defend the truck while Pop gives it a tune up | After a preparation time of 60s, defend the Hover-truck at the workshop from a wave of Husks for 4 minutes. |

Infestation | Destroy the Mist Pods! Be quick or you'll need to eliminate any Mist Monsters that hatched | Destroy 6 Mist Pods that spawn underground in the military base. If left to hatch, they spawn an Epic Miniboss. |

Overheat | Defend the truck while it cools down from the heat | Similar to Pit Stop, players are given 60 seconds to prepare for a 4 minute defense wave while the van remains stationary under a bridge. |

Every two Objectives completed prompts players to vote from one of two randomized boosts that last for the mission.
