Huntmaster Saber's Thermal Rifle is an Assault Weapon in Fortnite: Battle Royale, that was introduced in Chapter 3: Season 2.
Huntmaster Saber's Thermal Rifle is the Mythic version of the Thermal Scoped Assault Rifle.
Functionality[]
Huntmaster Saber’s Thermal Rifle is a mid to long ranged semi-automatic weapon with a low-zoom thermal scope equipped. The thermal scope highlights opponents and containers at any range.

Huntmaster Saber’s Thermal Rifle deals 32 damage per shot (128 damage per second). It uses 
Medium Bullets and has a critical hit multiplier of 2.0x.

Huntmaster Saber’s Thermal Rifle is a hitscan weapon. As it uses a scope, the fired bullet will always shoot from the center of the crosshair. There is no damage falloff on the Huntmaster Saber’s Thermal Rifle.

Strategy Guide[]
- Huntmaster Saber’s Thermal Rifle can used as a replacement for a sniper rifle or marksman rifle, especially if you are not good at compensating for bullets affected by gravity. Using this weapon allows the player to aim directly at targets and at least deal some damage.
- Carrying Huntmaster Saber’s Thermal Rifle and a shorter-ranged Assault Rifle or a pistol with a high fire-rate can be a good strategy, as Huntmaster Saber’s Thermal Rifle can be used for long-range while the other rifle or pistol can be used for medium-range engagements or as a follow-up to a shotgun.
- The small magazine size of 15 on Huntmaster Saber’s Thermal Rifle means that every shot counts. It's best to tap-fire or fire in short bursts to regularly reset recoil.
- Its relatively low DPS and semi-auto firing makes it unsuitable for destroying buildings at anything below very long ranges.
- It is generally not advisable to use the gun without aiming down sights, as it is extremely inaccurate if fired without aiming.
- Make sure to regularly reload, as the low capacity of Huntmaster Saber’s Thermal Rifle is very unforgiving.
- The Thermal Scope can be useful for times when vision is clouded, such as being in the storm or underwater.
- You can combine this weapon with a smoke grenade, and use its thermal scope to spot other players. Other players will not be able to shoot you as accurately as they cannot see you.
- Huntmaster Saber’s Thermal Rifle will highlight Chests, Supply Drops, enemy heat signatures, lit Cozy Campfires and Supply Llamas with a yellow color making them easier to see against the blue that it shows everything else as.
