Henchmen
IO Guards were hostile Guards in Fortnite: Battle Royale. They were introduced during Chapter 2: Season 5.
Description
They could have been found in Imagined Order controlled POIs and will shoot at the player if they spot them. They are alerted immediately if the player is spotted by a Sentry Camera, Gunnar or Doctor Slone.
All IO Guards would be eliminated once all in the area are knocked, and they will attempt to revive each other if they remain alive. While knocked they could have been Shaken down to reveal other Guards in the area.

History
Chapter 2: Season 5
- Update v15.00: IO Guards are added. They spawn from Elevators and have 350 HP in total, as 250 Shield and 100 Health.
- Update v15.20: IO Guards now have a rare chance to hold a Legendary Tactical Assault Rifle.
- Update v15.21: IO Guards no longer spawn in competitive, therefore eliminating any chance of a player having a Tactical Assault Rifle in Arena or competitive game modes.
Chapter 2: Season 6
- Update v16.00: IO Guards are removed, along with the Elevators they spawned from.
Chapter 2: Season 7
- Update v17.00: IO Guards are re-added with new voicelines. They now spawn at various Satellite Stations throughout the island, which all appear to be Imagined Order installations. They also protect Doctor Slone at Corny Complex.
- June 10th hotfix: Reduced the amount of IO Guards that can spawn in an area. The spawn rate has been decreased from 21 to 14 IO Guards.
- August 7th: IO Guards have moved from the Satellite Stations. They now only spawn in Coral Castle, Sludgy Swamp, and Corny Complex.
Chapter 2: Season 8
- Update v18.00: IO Guards now spawn at IO Outposts and IO Convoy. An IO Guard has a 50% chance to spawn at the third stage of Sideways Anomalies.
- The End: Multiple IO Guards are encountered out of the players' reach while going through The Bridge wielding Tactical Assault Rifles. With two shooting at Agent Jones and The Foundation in a standoff, and one attacking the players before being taken out by The Scientist. With another being choked by The Foundation.
Chapter 3: Season 1
- Update v19.00: IO Guards have been removed at the start of the season, with no IO Outposts on the map.
- Update v19.01 Week 5: IO Guards are re-added. They now spawn at various Mole Teams throughout the map. They are now capable of Sliding.
- 4/1/2022: Mole Team: Omega appeared near Logjam Lumberyard.
- 9/1/2022: Mole Team: Ryder appeared near Haven's Oasis, it is south of Greasy Grove.
- 1/19/2022:Mole Team: Dash appeared east of Sleepy Sound.
- Update v19.20: IO Guards now spawn at Covert Cavern and protect Gunnar. They are now capable of using Ziplines.
- 2/2/2022: Mole Team: Epsilon appeared near Coney Crossroads.
- 2/11/2022: Mole Team: Raven appeared near The Joneses.
Chapter 3: Season 2
- Update v20.00: IO Guards are now stationed in The Daily Bugle, Coney Crossroads, Condo Canyon, Rocky Reels, Tilted Towers, and the IO Airships that fly over them.
- Update v20.10: With The Seven's counter offensive beginning, IO Guards and IO Patrols have been sent to defend The Daily Bugle.
- Content Update v20.10: IO Guards no longer spawn in The Daily Bugle, and are now sent to defend Condo Canyon.
- Update v20.20: IO Guards no longer spawn in The Condo Canyon, and are now sent to defend Coney Crossroad.
- Content Update v20.20: IO Guards no longer spawn in Coney Crossroad, and are now sent to defend Rocky Reels.
- Update v20.30: IO Guards no longer spawn in Rocky Reels, and are now sent to defend Tilted Towers.
- Content Update v20.30(5/14/2022): IO Guards no longer spawn in Tilted Towers.
- Update v20.40: Since the addition of The Collider, IO Guards now spawn there.
- The amount of IO Guards that can spawn at The Fortress has been reduced to 1 due to this.
- Collision: IO Guards were seen protecting The Collider during the final push. They used Submachine Guns and a B.R.U.T.E. in an effort to stop The Seven alongside Doctor Slone, but were all eliminated by the Mecha Weapons Team.
Chapter 3: Season 3
- Update v21.00: IO Guards no longer spawn anywhere on Artemis. After the events of Collision only one IO Guard remains at the ruins of Outpost Omega, now known as Outcast Outpost. For more details, please see the Henchbros and Order Remnant pages.

- Their main theme is IO ATTACK.
- The IO Guards first appeared in the Chapter 2: Season 5 Story Trailer, in which they were seen frantically running around The Bridge.
- The IO Guards' old voicelines utilize the same samples used by the Heavy Marauders during Chapter 2: Season 3.
- During Chapter 2: Season 5, in the Unvaulted LTM, IO Guards could drop an Epic or Legendary Tactical Submachine Gun, as well as a Bandage Bazooka instead of their normal loot.
- In The End, the IO Guards The Scientist and The Foundation eliminate when arriving at The Bridge have Sledge's colors as opposed to their original colors.
- Doctor Slone's entourage guards are stronger than normal IO Guards.
- The IO Guards have made the most appearances out of all the current Guards so far. With a total of 5 full seasonal appearances.

IO Guards are the elite troops of the Imagined Order. They are recruited accross the Omniverse, but some are picked from skilled combatants from The Loop, whether a Snapshot or the real person. They are mostly stationed in The Bridge, and work under the command of Doctor Slone.
They are supporting antagonists in Fortnite: Battle Royale, serving as the central antagonists of Chapter 2: Season 5 and supporting antagonists in Chapter 2: Season 7, Chapter 3: Season 1 and Chapter 3: Season 2.
Personality
Though being different people, most guards seem to dislike their job and the lack of safety in their workplace. They still stay loyal to the IO and follow orders due to salaries, and other conditions while patiently awaiting retirement.

Timeline
Chapter 2: Season 5
The IO Guards are first seen running around aimlessly at The Bridge, after The Devourer of Worlds Event. Trios of them arrive at Apollo by Elevators that rise from The Bridge, and attack anyone on sight. Making sure nobody escapes The Loop.
Chapter 2: Season 6
IO evacuates The Bridge but leave IO Guards as security, and they fight against Batman and his team of escaped Loopers. The guards fail, and Batman reaches to The Zero Point.
Chapter 2: Season 7
Doctor Slone and a group of IO Guards witness the destruction of The Spire. Prompting the IO to set up Camps around Abduction Sites and guard the Satellite Stations and Corny Complex.
Chapter 2: Season 8
Slone and a pair of IO Guards gathered some of the Alien wreckage, escorting them via Convoy towards the IO Staging Facility. During The End, The Foundation infiltrates The Bridge and saves Agent Jones from his cell, while groups of IO Guards try to stop them. Foundation uses his Rift Railgun to Rift the IO Guards to different Realities, and throws a guard into The Zero Point.
Chapter 3: Season 1
The IO sends Mole Teams to the surface of Artemis in order to establish a hold on the island. Gunnar and his IO Guards drill through Pinnacle Peak and build Covert Cavern inside.
Chapter 3: Season 2
IO Guards, alongside IO Patrols protect the IO's various bases. The IO use the Guards as disposable troops and kill them off while destroying their Outposts on purpose to cut their losses. The IO Guards stationed under The Collider during Collision had one final Last Stand against The Seven alongside Slone. But were ultimately defeated, with the majority of the IO already evacuated from the island.
Chapter 3: Season 3
Once the dust settles after the Imagined Order's devastating defeat, one lone IO Guard that survived Collision stays behind at a ruined Outpost all by himself. He was later found by a group of lonely Henchmen and was brought in to live a better life.
