Imperial TIE Fighter is a Vehicle in Fortnite: Battle Royale that was introduced in Galactic Battle.
Functionality[]
Imperial TIE Fighter is a flying Vehicle, which will automatically move forward. Player can control how fast it will move by using forward and backward keys. It has a boost functionality similar to a Saucer, but can only store one boost at a time. Imperial Tie Fighter has two seats: one in the cockpit for the driver and one at the top of the cockpit. The driver is fully protected and cannot be shot at directly when inside a TIE Fighter. Passenger on top of a TIE Fighter can freely use items.
When using primary fire, Imperial TIE Fighter will start firing its LS-1 laser cannons, dealing 25 damage to opponents, with a small blast radius. After firing continuously for a prolonged period of time, the Imperial TIE Fighter's laser cannons will overheat and will need to cool down before the pilot is able to fire again.
Once an Imperial TIE Fighter loses its health, it will quickly descend to the floor. It will not immediately be destroyed, but instead lose a "life", of which it has three. When it lands on the floor with remaining "lives", all players will be ejected, and the TIE Fighter will start regaining Health until is restored fully, whereupon it will be once again available to enter. If it is on its last life, the TIE Fighter will fall towards the ground and explode after a few seconds.
When an Imperial TIE Fighter is close to the ground, player can use a specific input to safely land it.
