The Iron Pump Shotgun is a Shotgun in Fortnite: Battle Royale that was added in Chapter 7: Season 1.
Iron Pump Shotgun has a Mythic variant called Pinpoint Iron Pump Shotgun.
Functionality[]
The Iron Pump Shotgun is a slow firing, high damage shotgun with a slightly wider vertical spread than most other shotguns.
The Iron Pump Shotgun is a Hitscan weapon, that fires a spread of 10 pellets when both aiming down sights and hipfiring. Aiming down sights tightens the spread of pellets.
The Iron Pump Shotgun reloads 1 shell at a time, can be reloaded whilst aiming and aimed down sights while in midair.

- The Iron Pump Shotgun is an anomaly in that it is one of very few Shotguns, and now the only pump-style Shotgun, in the game that can hit for over 200 headshot damage outside of Mythic rarity. It's headshot damage in general is very rewarding, especially in Builds playlists, so accuracy is key.
- The Iron Pump Shotgun isn't quite as consistent as some other Shotguns body damage wise, due to the slightly more vertical spread of the pellets. Thus, try to stay on target as much as possible, as it is quite punishing if you miss a shot.
Counters[]
- The Iron Pump Shotgun has less consistency when going for body shots, so taking a more consistent Shotgun in that area such as the Hammer Pump Shotgun or the Twin Hammer Shotguns can be beneficial when going against an opponent using an Iron Pump Shotgun.
