Kinetic Ore is a gameplay mechanic in Fortnite: Battle Royale. They were introduced in Chapter 4: Season 1. The ore can be found at Shattered Slabs.
Description[]
A physics-based rock that charge up on hit, launch itself and cause damage. players standing on the ore will receive low gravity effects upon launching.

Kinetic Ore is a powerful and durable ore that can be found in numerous realities, noted for its extraordinary abilities to absorb, store, and release large amounts of kinetic energy. It was introduced to the island after Fracture event.
Raw kinetic ores are heavily used by the Oathbound to power their weapons and items. The refined kinetic ore are heavily used by The Ancients people of the jungle.

Raw Kinetic Ore[]
- Raw Kinetic Ore, when undisturbed, pulses with unstable power. It can be used as a fuel source in weapons, items and everything.
Refined Kinetic Ore[]
- Hundreds of times more powerful than raw ore. According to AMIE, With enough of this ore, She could use it to mind-blend the Island into "existence-smoothie".
Reflective Kinetic Ore[]
- A variant of refined kinetic ore made for refracting light.

History[]
Pre-Chapter 4[]
Eons ago, The Ancients discovered the kinetic ore and began on creating amazing technologies with it. They were the first one to create the Refined Kinetic Ore.
Chapter 4: Season 1[]
The Oathbound discovers the kinetic ore and quickly adapt it into their technologies. The Looper and AMIE accidentally made their own refined kinetic ore and decided to gift it to the Oathbound. The refined kinetic ore somehow reconnect Rift Warden Stellan with someone he has not seen in centuries, The Shapeless Man.
Chapter 4: Season 2[]
The syndicates of MEGA City created Kinetic Blade out of the kinetic ore.
Chapter 4: Season 3[]
Doctor Slone began on studying The Apparatus, One of The Ancients' technologies powered by kinetic ore prisms.
