Strategy Guide[]
|
This section outlines a strategy. |
| Feel free to add tips, tricks and general advice about the topic. |
- The Lawless Rift Launcher is very useful for rotation, especially in team modes such as Duos, Trios, and Squads, as you can shoot the Rift on your teammates, creating a smooth rotation over large distances.
- The Lawless Rift Launcher is very good at getting out of vulnerable positions in engagements, such as in an open area when dealing with an opponent with a Sniper, or when in a close quarters fight when your health is low.
- The Lawless Rift Launcher has maximum uses of 2 and reloads every 20 seconds, so you can use it without worrying about the delays, especially when it doesn't have a durability meter.
- Should you redeploy your glider as soon as you enter the Rift, the amount of time it takes to descend to the ground will be enough for the Lawless Rift Launcher to recharge one more Rift. This is good for stalling.
- You can fire the Lawless Rift Launcher towards enemies to send them away and into the air. This can buy you some time to loot a defeated opponent when being 3rd partied.
- In the final storm circles, use the Lawless Rift Launcher to rift enemies away before shooting them in the air once they have been forced to redeploy their glider, as they won't be able to move around as much in the small zones.
- In game modes with Building enabled, before using the Lawless Rift Launcher to escape a fight, box up with Metal or Brick to prevent enemies from following you. This should only be done if your opponent is within running distance of your location.
- An effective strategy when dealing with an opponent using a car is to lower their vehicle’s HP to an extremely low amount, shoot a Rift at it, and fire at the car as it descends from the sky. If done correctly, the opponent will likely succumb to fall damage after the car explodes.
- While the vehicle’s explosion will deal a guaranteed 75 damage, bear in mind that they may survive if they wield Sub-Zero's Kombat Kit, a Rocket Drill, or if they land in water. Try to follow them and finish the fight, as they may have lost a significant amount of HP.
- If you have the Lawless Rift Launcher and Scorpion's Kombat Kit, you can try out this strategy, although it is unlikely to happen. Shoot a rift in front of you or anywhere where you can easily and quickly get to it. Then, use the grapple ability of Scorpion's Kombat Kit to pull the enemy towards you. The instant the spear makes contact with the enemy, walk into the rift. The grapple effect will still be active, and thus the enemy will get pulled into the sky, where you are. If done correctly, and as long as they have nothing that can save them from fall damage, they should die to fall damage.
Counters[]
- When you use the Lawless Rift Launcher, you will always Rift into the sky right above where you Rifted from. When dealing with an opponent with the Lawless Rift Launcher, carrying a red dot AR of sorts (Ex, Holo Twister Assault Rifle, Striker Burst Rifle), can be beneficial, as you can shoot them out of the sky as they attempt to flee.
- Rifts create a loud sound as the user flies out of them. Use the auditory cue to immediately locate the rift and shoot the opponent.
- Enemies can use the Rifts left behind by the Lawless Rift Launcher, who can then pursue you into the sky and fly towards your next landing spot.
- There can only be one player with the Lawless Rift Launcher at once, and as a match progresses, they will have less areas to relocate to, making it much less effective. Find out who has it and focus on other opponents until the endgame, then attack the enemy with the Lawless Rift Launcher when the Storm has shrunk into a smaller location.
Weapon ID[]
The Lawless Rift Launcher is referred to as Grenade Launcher Hopscotch X in the files.
