Llama Pinatas

Llamas, also known as Llama Pinatas, are the main 'loot boxes' in Fortnite: Save the World. They are also Fortnite's primary mascot.

There are many types of llamas. These include Mini Reward Llamas, Upgrade Llamas, Melee Llamas, Ranged Weapon Llamas, Hero Llamas, People Llamas, and more.

Overview

• Players can open the X-Ray and Loot tabs in the Llama Shop, which contains options to purchase Llamas.
• All Llamas in the X-Ray tab display the items they contain on the preview panel on the right.
• If the player has Llama Tokens available, they will immediately be able to open them in the Loot tab, with the exception of Basic Upgrade Llamas, which will still show up in the X-Ray tab.
• Basic Upgrade Llamas have a chance to appear in either normal, silver, or gold variants.
• Upgrade Llamas and Mini Reward Llamas obtained through mission rewards may sometimes also upgrade to silver, with a lower chance of upgrading to gold.

Since Update v20.00, only X-Ray Tickets can be used to purchase llamas for all Non-Founders and Founders. Prior to v20.00, it was possible to spend V-Bucks on Llamas.

Types of Llamas

X-Ray Llamas

X-Ray Llamas that are commonly available in the X-Ray tab at random each day. They rotate out every day at 8 PM EST, and can be bought in exchange of X-Ray Tickets.

Daily Upgrade Llamas

• There will always be 50x Upgrade Llamas available for purchase, for 50 X-Ray Tickets each.
• There will always be 5x non-Upgrade Llamas available for purchase. (See below for each individual X-Ray Tickets prices.

	Super People Llama	1,000 X-Ray Tickets	"A special llama containing rare survivors, including at least one each Epic or better Hero and Legendary Lead Survivor! Contains 11 tightly packed people."
	Super Hero Llama	1,000 X-Ray Tickets	"A special llama with an assortment of rare heroes, including at least one Legendary! Contains 7 shrink-wrapped champions!"
	Weapon Llama	200 X-Ray Tickets	"What comes out is as heavy as a sack of broken glass and just as much fun to play with. Contains at least 6 safety-guaranteed items."

Expansion Llamas

Expansion X-Ray Llamas that are rarely available in the X-Ray tab at random each week. They can be bought in exchange of 300 X-Ray Tickets.
