The Mammoth Pistol is a Pistol in Fortnite: Battle Royale, that was added in Chapter 4: Season 3.
Functionality[]
The Mammoth Pistol is a medium to long range, single-shot pistol that works similarly to the Hand Cannon, but with higher damage and only one shot before needing to reload. It uses 
Heavy Bullets and has a 1.75x critical hit multiplier. The Mammoth Pistol is a hitscan weapon with First Shot Accuracy enabled.

Feel free to add tips, tricks and general advice about the topic.- When using the Mammoth Pistol in a fight, try to aim at the head of your target. This utilizes the weapon’s critical multiplier of 1.75x, which will increase its base damage to more than 140 in all rarities, which is high enough to fully wipe out the Shield of a player at 200 HP, and nearly enough to do the same to a player with a full Overshield.
- The Mammoth Pistol can be seen as an alternative to a Sniper Rifle due to its high damage, long range of effectiveness, and its property of being hitscan. Bear in mind, however, that it deals less damage than actual Sniper Rifles, and its lack of a scope puts it at a moderate disadvantage in terms of accuracy.
- A positively fortuitous perk of the Mammoth Pistol not having a scope is the absence of a Glare. Take note of this in ranged fights; if you suspect your opponent is using this weapon, pay attention to whether or not they seem to be aiming down sights, try to observe their weapon, and act accordingly. If you are using it against them, assume that they are concentrating on your actions as well. Alternate between the Mammoth Pistol and an Assault Weapon or Submachine Gun to throw them off.
- A good combo to use in close-quarters combat is firing the Mammoth Pistol, before following up with a Shotgun or fast-firing Assault Weapon. The high damage of the former will deal significant damage against your opponent, and you can finish them off by hip firing your Assault Weapon or with a well-placed shot of your Shotgun.
- In modes where infinite ammunition is disabled, it advisable to use the Mammoth Pistol sparingly, as to not waste
Heavy Bullets.
