Materials (otherwise known as Mats) is the commonly used term to describe the resources and ingredients required for building and crafting. Players can break objects in the world to obtain materials: World Resources, used in building structures in both Save the World and Battle Royale, and Crafting Ingredients, used to craft Weapons, Traps, and Ammunition in Save the World.
World Resources, often called "mats" or "materials" by players, are used to build structures in both Save the World and Battle Royale. Harvesting items and objects with a Harvesting Tool yields a different amount of World Resources, depending on the object that was destroyed.
Materials can be obtained in Battle Royale by hitting trees, rocks and objects with your Harvesting Tool. The maximum amount of materials that can be gathered are 999 of each material, but in Arena it's 500 of each. The available materials in Battle Royale are wood, brick, and metal. You can also obtain materials from chests and by killing opennets.
Ingredients are needed to craft a variety of items like traps, ammo, and weapons. Certain ingredients have levels and are more commonplace in certain regions. For example, Copper Ore is easy to find in Stonewood, but in Canny Valley, it's practically nonexistent as higher-level items require higher-level ingredients.
