Missions are modes within Fortnite: Save the World that require players to complete a certain goal in order to be successfully completed. Missions typically include time limits, either for defending specific objectives, or for completing an objective or a set of objectives within a certain time period.
Difficulty Rating[]
Missions have a minimum, recommended, and maximum Power Rating, which determines their Difficulty Rating.

Side Objectives[]
Side Objectives are small goals within a Mission. They don't end the mission and offer various rewards.
- Build the Radar Tower - Follow the holographic plans to build and activate a radar tower.
- Retrieve the Anomaly Shards - Destroy the anomaly and retrieve 3-4 shards around it. Rewards 4x
BluGlo.
- Eliminate all Encampment enemies - Clear the Encampment by eliminating all enemies. Varied rewards.
- Storm Chest - A Group Activity requiring you to eliminate Husks and Mist Monsters within an allotted time. Rewards Weapons, Traps, and Materials if at least 25 enemies were eliminated. Bonus rewards if a total of 50 enemies were eliminated.
- Target Practice - Practice your aiming skills by shooting discs from a launcher with a ranged weapon. Upon shooting 10, you will receive a reward containing Weapons, Traps, and Materials. Shoot a bonus of 10 more discs (20 total) to earn more rewards.
- Whack-a-Troll - A whack-a-troll style mini-game where you hit a Troll with your weapon or pickaxe multiple times. Rewards 2 BluGlo and some Building Materials.
- Salvage the Drone - A Group Activity that occurs randomly during any mission. Head to the Crash Site objective and protect the crashed drone as it digs for crafting materials and resources. Can only occur if 2 or more players are present.
Mission Alerts[]
- Mission Alerts appear on the Map as Missions with little clocks on them. Missions in these zones grant additional one-time rewards including Evolution Materials, Experience, Schematics, Heroes, Crafting Ingredients, and sometimes V-Bucks.
Most Mission Alerts will also have Modifiers on them that affect how you play the mission.
Quests[]
Players can view their Quests in the Quest Log under the Quests tab.
Daily Quests[]
- Players can acquire one Daily Quest per day by logging in to the game.
- These quests involve tasks such as destroying objects like gnomes and TVs, eliminating Husks, or playing missions with a specific class.
- Founders earn
V-Bucks and
X-Ray Tickets upon completing Daily Quests, while non-founders earn only
X-Ray Tickets. - Daily Quests also reward players with
Gold and
Battle Pass XP.
Main Quests and Event Quests[]
- Campaign Quests and Event Quests require players to complete specific tasks in successful missions.
Weekly Challenges[]
- Weekly Challenges require players to complete a total of 10 Mission Alerts in the designated Power Level zone.
- Example: Complete 10 Mission Alerts in a 64+ zone.
