Mist Monsters are one of the two types of Monsters in Fortnite: Save the World. They are the stronger form of Monsters. Similar to Husk Monsters, Mist Monsters have an anthropomorphic appearance. However, their bodies are usually twisted past recognition, barely resembling humans, with elongated, oversized or stick-like body parts or appendages, alongside numerous eyes and swirls surrounding their bodies. Their color scheme is similar to that of The Storm.
The Taker and Blaster can spawn in Shadow Orbs at cave entrances. Eliminating them grants you loot.

Stretegy Guide[]
This section outlines a strategy. | |

Feel free to add tips, tricks and general advice about the topic. |
- If you are playing as a Ninja or Outlander, using Phase Shift or Mantis Leap will help you get out of the way of Takers, Blasters, and Smashers.
- When playing as a Constructor, you can use Bull Rush to cancel Smasher charges. This also works for the Outlander T.E.D.D.Y. and Shock Tower abilities.
- When a Blaster starts firing, building a wall or a stair using any material will prevent the its lasers from damaging the structure or passing through it.
- When a Taker is charging towards you, you can place a structure in front of you to block it from hitting you.
Trivia[]
- The Blaster is the only Mist Monster in the game to have an appearance change.
- Before being updated in Update v9.00, Blasters were big purple Husk with glowing purple eyes and more teeth on its lower jaw. They also emitted different noises.
- Before Update v7.40, Flingers used to have high Ranged Weapon resistance, which was balanced out by having low health. This is no longer the case, and they now have more health but can also be effectively fought with all weapon types.
