Mod Benches are an object found within Fortnite: Battle Royale. They were first introduced in Chapter 5: Season 1 and were found all over the Helios island. They are currently unavailable as of Chapter 6: Season 1

Functionality[]

A Mod Bench can be found in Weapon Bunkers across the Island, and Loot Island. The benches are marked on the map, to highlight their existence and make it easier for players to locate them. Mod Benches cannot be destroyed.

Going up to a mod bench allows a player to apply Weapon Mods to their Weapons. Modifying allows players to use 75 Bars to personalize their gun, and therefore change the statistics of held weaponry. Not every weapon supports modding. Applicable weapons have the "Modular" prefix at the beginning of the weapon name, including named/Boss Mythics despite being unchangeable.

Monster Part Mod Bench[]

Monster Part Mod Benches are a special variant of the Mod Bench, exclusive to the Horde Rush Limited Time Mode. They use Cube Monster Parts instead of Bars to apply Weapon Mods. Each modification costs 30.

When the player attempts to mod a carried Chicken or Gwenpool's Dual Micro SMGs a special message will be displayed in addition to the weapon's un-moddable message. Attempting to Mod a chicken will also display a special rarity and weapon type.
