The Modular Frenzy Auto Shotgun is a Shotgun in Fortnite: Battle Royale that was added in Chapter 5: Season 1.
The Modular Frenzy Auto Shotgun has a Mythic variant called Oscar's Modular Frenzy Auto Shotgun.
The Modular Frenzy Auto Shotgun has an unmoddable version called Frenzy Auto Shotgun.
Functionality[]
Modular Frenzy Auto Shotgun is a fast firing automatic shotgun with a standard magazine, allowing it to reload all shells at once.
The Modular Frenzy Auto Shotgun is a Hitscan weapon, that fires a spread of 10 pellets when both aiming down sights and firing from the hip. Aiming down sights tightens the spread of pellets.
Damage falloff:
- Damage falloff begins at 8 meters (1.6 tiles).
- Damage steadily decreases down to 67% of its maximum at 15 meters (3 tiles).
- Damage steadily decreases down to 33% of its maximum at 20 meters (4 tiles).
- It deals damage until 25 meters (5 tiles).

- In Zero Build, attaching the
Drum Mag and
Laser mods allow the Modular Frenzy Auto Shotgun to be used to effectively pressure enemies.
- Keep in mind that unlike other shotguns in the game, the Modular Frenzy Auto Shotgun cannot reach its max damage cap, making headshots a little unpredictable damage wise.
- The Modular Frenzy Auto Shotgun can be used as an SMG replacement, as its range is surprisingly sufficient enough to outgun some SMG's at range, and similarly performs in point-blank engagements, such as a box fight.
Counters[]
- Staying within mid-long range in an engagement is beneficial when against an opponent wielding the Modular Frenzy Auto Shotgun, as it is most effective within close quarters.
- The Modular Frenzy Auto Shotgun has a sluggish reload time and has to reload the full magazine at once, so in the case an opponent wielding one has to reload, engaging with them while they most likely have no ammo can be very beneficial.

- Modular Frenzy Auto Shotgun resembles the AA-12 CQB Auto Shotgun.[1]
- The differences between the Modular Frenzy Auto Shotgun and the real-life AA-12 has to do with the charging handle which is now on the right side and acts as both the ejection port and charging bolt. While the charging handle on the real-life AA-12 is on the top and is separate from the bolt.
- The AA-12's original iron sights were also replaced by rails and 3rd party iron sights to allow optics to be attached.
- Modular Frenzy Auto Shotgun reloads all shells at once instead of individually.
- Modular Frenzy Auto, Modular Hammer Pump, Modular Combat and Modular Sovereign shotguns are the only shotguns that can be suppressed.
- In the Cursed Sails Loading Screen and the Chapter 5 Launch Trailer at the 25 second mark, the Modular Frenzy Auto Shotgun is incorrectly shown with an Assault Weapon's Drum Mag Weapon Mod and an Optic that resembles the one seen on the Red-Eye Assault Rifle.
