Modular Hammer Pump Shotgun is a Shotgun in Fortnite: Battle Royale, that was added in Chapter 5: Season 1.
Modular Hammer Pump Shotgun has a Mythic variant called Peter Griffin's Hammer Pump Shotgun.
Functionality[]
Modular Hammer Pump Shotgun is a high damage, slow firing pump shotgun, that uses 
Shells and has a headshot multiplier of 1.85x. Modular Hammer Pump Shotgun is a Hitscan weapon, but fires a spread of 10 pellets when both aiming down sights and hipfiring. Aiming down sights tightens the spread of pellets and reloads 1 shell at a time.

Feel free to add tips, tricks and general advice about the topic.- In modes with building enabled, the Hammer Pump Shotgun is a reliable shotgun to use as it has consistent single-shot damage and good hip fire accuracy.
- The Hammer Pump Shotgun is best paired with a fast firing weapon such as an SMG or a fast firing rifle like the Striker AR or Warforged Assault Rifle.
- Ideal mods to attach to the Hammer Pump Shotgun would be the Speed Mag, Laser Sight, and Suppressor. Having an optic is less useful(but still potentially practical based on preference) as you are most likely hipfiring the weapon and recoil reduction is almost useless with the slow fire rate.
- Having an optic will also make corner-peaking much more difficult. Once again it boils down to preference whether you wish to have it with an optic.
- Due to their high fire rate, range, and damage output, the Modular Hammer Pump Shotgun is at a disadvantage when going up against the Gatekeeper and Combat Shotguns. Either fallback or try another method to counter them.
- Any damage buffing medallion such as Ringmaster Scarr's Medallion will boost the Modular Hammer Pump Shotgun's damage by 5 in every rarity (besides Legendary which will stay at 108 base damage). The headshot damage will also be slightly boosted in every rarity except Legendary.
Trivia[]
- Modular Hammer Pump Shotgun resembles the Mossberg 590.[1]
- Despite being a classed as a Pump-Action Shotgun, the Modular Hammer Pump Shotgun can fire continuously by holding the firing button, like if it was an Automatic Shotgun.
- Due to this, Modular Hammer Pump Shotgun is the slowest firing automatic weapon in Fortnite.
- Modular Hammer Pump Shotgun and the Modular Striker AR are the only weapons introduced in Chapter 5: Season 1 that don't have a paint scheme themed after The Underground or The Society.
- The Modular Hammer Pump, Modular Frenzy Auto, and Modular Combat shotguns are the only shotguns that can be suppressed.
