Disambig-iconFor information on Monsters in Battle Royale, see Monsters (Battle Royale).

Monsters are the primary antagonists in Fortnite: Save the World.

Overview[]

Monsters have a variety of different behavior patterns, but their main actions are damaging players, Wildlife, Buildings, and Mission objectives. They spawn from The Storm during objective defense stages, Encampments, Storm Chests, etc, but can also be found sleeping around the zone during Missions. When sleeping, they will be awoken if a player approaches them, attempts to loot nearby containers, harvests objects, or attacks them or other nearby monsters.

Starting in mid-Plankerton, Monsters can become Elemental. Elemental Monsters have strengths and weaknesses, such as increased Damage Resistance to certain Weapon elements, etc. In earlier versions of the game, their homeworld is an unused hub called Limbo.

Types[]

There are two primary types of Monsters that spawn during missions: Husk Monsters and Mist Monsters.
