This article is about the special missions with modifiers that appear in Save the World. For the Save the World event, see Mutant Storms (event). |
Mutant Storms are a Gameplay Mechanic in Fortnite: Save the World that were added in Update v1.5.
Mutant Storm Missions contain a number of Mission Modifiers, offer increased Rewards, and feature Mini-Bosses less frequently. Visually, Mutant Storms differ from regular Missions by the purple cloud that surrounds the Mission icon on the select screen.
The Scurvy Shoals, Blasted Badlands, and Frozen Fjords Venture Seasons are considered Mutant Storm Seasons which means that most Mission Alerts have a specific Element for the entirety of the associated season.
