Panther's Prowl was a landmark in Fortnite: Battle Royale on the Apollo map. It was rifted on to the map on September 1, 2020 during Chapter 2: Season 4. It was removed the following season.
Description[]
Panther's Prowl appeared on the island unexpectedly, near the road leading to Misty Meadows from Slurpy Swamp. It was raised from the ground and access to the monument restricted without building up or using one of the two nearby rifts.
The Landmark itself had a large statue of a panther, made from what appeared to be Vibranium. The Landmark was rifted from what appears to be Wakanda, evident by the tribal themed ambiance at the location, as well as the namesake panther relating to Black Panther.
The ground had several bushes, and chests could spawn either in front of the panther statue, or on top of its head.
History[]
Chapter 2: Season 4[]
- Update v14.00: The landmark appeared on the map on September 1, 2020, 4 days into the season.
Chapter 2: Season 5[]
- Update v15.00: The landmark has been removed as with all other rifted landmarks.
Trivia[]
- It resembles Mount Bashenga from the Cinematic Universe.[1]
- The location is featured in the trailer for the Marvel: Royalty & Warriors Pack. This is unusual, as the pack and challenges associated with them were released in Chapter 2: Season 5, after the landmark was removed. It is very likely however, that due to Chadwick Boseman's (the actor who played the Black Panther in the Cinematic Universe) unfortunate passing only 4 days prior to the landmark's appearance, the pack was pushed back, hence its release in a later season and the anachronism with the location in the trailer.
