Pay Phones

Pay Phones are interactable object in Fortnite: Battle Royale. They were introduced in Chapter 2: Season 7.

Functionality[]

Blue Pay Phones around Asteria have a rare chance of becoming interactable, hinted by it suddenly ringing. It will display a strange message when answered before hanging up, leaving it un-interactable upon exiting the conversation.

Referred as Burner Pay Phones, during the duration of Most Wanted they can be found in various locations and will offer to increase the player's Heat Level by 1 for 500 Bars.

Found at various bus stops. Orange Pay Phones will offer 4 random Character Quests to complete, serving as an alternative to getting quests without having to find a Character to accept from. Interacting with a pay phone is identical to a Character, in that a menu appears offering services in exchange for Bars.

Update v17.00: Introduced Pay Phones at bus stops. They have a 100% spawn rate.

Doctor Slone used the Pay Phones as a way to interact with The Looper, and inform them about their missions.
- This is likely the reason behind their re-introduction in Chapter 4: Season 2, as a way of teasing her return.
It was possible to get quests from Beach Brutus, despite him being removed as a Character.
It was possible to get quests from Beast Boy, Armored Batman Zero and Clark Kent before they were added as Characters.
