The Pirate Cannon is a Vehicle in Fortnite: Battle Royale, that was introduced in Season 8.

Functionality[]

The Pirate Cannon has two uses: Attacking Opponents, and launching a player long distances. The Pirate Cannon has two seats, and works similar to a Shopping Cart, in that it is pushed to move the vehicle, rather than driven. The driver can shoot cannonballs, which deal damage. The passenger sits inside the cannon, and when the driver (or the player themselves when no driver is present) shoots, they are launched out of the cannon at a high speed. The player will then land safely, but cannot control their character until landing.

Players are invisible inside the Pirate Cannon, but the wrap will still apply to the vehicle. Turning off a vehicle wrap can allow for a surprise attack from hiding in a Cannon.
Be wary of team members when using this vehicle, as they can easily point you to The Storm and fire you into it. This can also occur when playing alone, so be wary of where the storm is.
