Pistols are a type of weapon in Fortnite: Battle Royale. The purpose of these weapons is for short range to medium range combat. Pistols use a variety of ammo types.
Functionality[]
Pistols fill the role of a short to medium range weapon and are often used for up close engagements or medium range gunfights. Pistols are the most versatile weapons in Battle Royale, as they have a range of uses across all ranges. Some pistols are for closer ranges, have high fire-rate caps and good hipfire, whilst others are for long range, have slow fire-rates and deal high damage at distance. Depending on the Pistol in your hand, the uses it will have in combat have great variation across the board. All Pistols (except Chapter 5 Pistols) are hitscans, meaning the shot can directly damage their target on firing.
