Polar Peak was an Unnamed Location in Fortnite: Battle Royale that returned in Chapter 4: Season OG to the island Athena. Polar Peak was the tallest point of the iceberg, housing The Ice King's castle.

- Lack of the castle could have been caused by the building height limit which didn't allow the entire castle to fit without it being cut in half.

Polar Peak was a Named Location in Fortnite: Battle Royale that was added in Season 7 to the island Athena. Polar Peak was the tallest point of the iceberg, housing The Ice King's castle.

Update v7.00[]
December 6th 2018
- The Iceberg has collided with the Island.
Update v7.01[]
December 11th 2018
- The ice has melted partly, revealing more of the fortress.
- The Infinity Blade can be found here.
December 14th 2018
- The Infinity Blade is now gone as it has been vaulted.
Update v7.10[]
December 18th 2018
- The iceberg has further melted, more of the castle and town is revealed, included a secret room containing a rock that appears to be a piece of The Meteor.
- The altar where the Infinity Blade used to be has been replaced by a block of ice.
January 1st 2019
- The iceberg melts further, revealing a tunnel that leads to a partially revealed dungeon under the castle, including various ice eggs.
Update v7.20[]
January 15th 2019
- An ice sphere has appeared in the sky floating on top of the palce where the Infinity Blade was. The Ice King can be seen inside using a scoped weapon.
- The iceberg has melted further, revealing more of the dungeon.
January 18th 2019
- Strange symbols resembling The Ice Kingdom emblem appeared around the Polar Peak Sphere. They serve as a countdown to the event.
Ice Storm
- The ice sphere above the location has exploded, revealing The Ice King inside, who casted a snowstorm across the entire map, along with the appearance of the Ice Legion.
January 22nd 2019
- The iceberg has melted further, revealing more of the dungeon.
January 28th 2019
- The piece of ice in the castle dungeon is melting and has revealed a chained pedestal - an arm is sticking out of the ice.
Update v7.30[]
January 29th 2019
- The chunk of ice in the dungeon has completely melted, and it's prisoner has escaped.

February 14th 2019
- The Hybrid Eggs in the dungeon disappeared.

April 10th 2019
- A Reboot Van was added to Polar Peak.
The Unvaulting Event[]
May 3rd 2019
- The volcano erupts, hitting Polar Peak in the process, leaving a large crack at the front of the iceberg.
Update v9.10[]
May 22nd 2019
- The cracks have spread even further, and noises are now eminating from the iceberg. Every 30 seconds ice would fall as the iceberg shakes, which could knock players off.
May 28th 2019
- An eye can now be seen peering through the large crack. Getting closer would cause the pupil to dilate and the eye to focus on you.
Update v9.20[]
June 6th 2019
- Polar Peak finally collapsed and The Devourer escaped, taking the castle with it and leaving a trail of footprints behind.
June 9th 2019
- A chunk of ice carrying the castle can occasionally be seen bobbing in the ocean before sinking back in.
The Final Showdown[]
July 20th 2019
- The Devourer emerges from the ocean, revealing the castle on it's back.
- Mecha Team Leader shoots missiles at The Devourer, destroying the castle on it's back in the process.
Trivia[]
- Before the castle was destroyed, Polar Peak was the highest you could go on the Chapter 1 map without building or using Rifts.
