Pop is a Character in Fortnite: Save the World. He is a member of the Commander Support Crew and is one of the automaton companions that helps drive the storyline further.
Overview[]
Pop was designed to be the storm shield mechanic. Unlike Ray, he does not speak in any understandable human language but in a robotic language known as 'Roundbot', consisting of beeps, clicks and other buzzing sounds.
History[]
Stonewood[]
In Triangulating a Circle, Ray reveals that she had sent Pop out on an expedition, but he still hasn't returned yet. She blames herself for not learning 'Roundbot', a language that Pop speaks.
Plankerton[]
In the intro to Plankerton Storm Shield Defense 1, Ray tells the Commander that Pop mentioned he was having a "handsome" day and sent her a few photos before his disappearance. Ray is concerned about the purple glow behind him in the images, noting that it's unlike anything they encountered in Stonewood.
In the ... While Screaming Quest, the purple glow is revealed to be an Alpha Rift, and it's revealed that Pop was destroyed by it while trying to save the DJ[1]. After being assembled, Pop becomes corrupted and briefly turns evil when Ray tries to "Frankenstein" a repair using The Storm as an energy source. During this time, he sends the Commander on multiple high-risk missions while posing as Ray, intending to get them killed.
He was fixed back to his good self after the Quest Wind of Change while flying with Lars to get solar winds.
Later[]
Pop joins the fight along with the rest of the Commander Support Crew nicknamed Mecha-Pop.
Trivia[]
- Pop's helmet appears to resemble a red circular Grill Lid.
