The Pre-Season of Fortnite: Battle Royale, sometimes referred to as Season 0, was the season before Season 1. There was not really much going on in this season, and it was more of a “test” phase for Battle Royale. The season started on September 12th 2017, and concluded on October 25th 2017.

Trivia

• In the early stages of Battle Royale, the only modes were Solo and Squads. Duos was not released until the October 4th 2017 hotfix update along side Supply Drops, the Zapotron, and Energy Ammo, all of which was stated to be released in Update v1.6.3 according to the patch notes.
• The Battle Pass did not yet exist, nor did any cosmetics for that matter.
• From September 12th to 26th, 2017, Battle Royale was paid for, as it came paired with Save The World as well. Meaning until Update v1.6.3, Fortnite: Battle Royale was paid for.
