The Prime Shotgun is a Shotgun in Fortnite: Battle Royale. It was first introduced in Chapter 3: Season 3.
Functionality[]
The Prime Shotgun is a Semi-Automatic Shotgun with a short range. It has 4 shells in the magazine and deals 50% more damage upon firing the first shot in the magazine.
Stats[]
Prime shotguns range from dealing 75.6 to 96.3 Damage per shot (79.4 - 101.1 damage per second). Prime Shotguns deal 1.5x damage on the first shot. All Prime Shotguns use Shells and have a headshot multiplier of 1.65x. There is a maximum damage cap of 170/175/180/185/190/195.
The Prime Shotgun reloads one shell at a time.

- The Prime Shotgun has a 4 Lights on the side, with the number of lights glowing indicating how many shots you have left in the magazine. The first light has a red light unlike the 3 others with a blue light, indicating that shot does more damage.
- The Prime Shotgun is the only weapon to have the same reload speed for all rarities of the weapon.
