Pro Fishing Rod

The Pro Fishing Rod is a miscellaneous item or tool that players can use in Fortnite: Battle Royale. It was introduced in Chapter 2: Season 4.

Functionality

The Pro Fishing Rod functions identically to the Regular Fishing Rod, in that it is used mainly to fish. The only major difference is that the Pro Fishing Rod is used to catch higher rarity fish, or loot in general.

Stats

The Pro Fishing Rod deals no damage and can be used an unlimited amount of times.

The Pro Fishing Rod can be used to deal damage to an enemy player by pulling them off a high structure, or be used to pull a knocked opponent close to you to easier obtain their loot. However this is very impractical.
The Pro Fishing Rod can be used to obtain ammo or healing if you have some downtime in a match, however, you are very vulnerable when doing so.

History

Chapter 2: Season 4

Update v14.00: Added the Pro Fishing Rod, it can be obtained the same way as a Fishing Rod, or it can be upgraded into by upgrading a Fishing Rod.

Chapter 2: Season 6

Update v16.40: Added the Pro Fishing rod to Creative

Chapter 2: Season 7

Update v17.10: Updated the Pro Fishing rod to support fishing in fishing zones outside of water (Creative mode only)

Trivia

The Pro Fishing Rod has a small Peely as the Bobber.
