Strategy Guide
- The Ranger Shotgun highly rewards accuracy, as missing with this weapon is incredibly punishing. As such, it makes it an ideal weapon for sneaking up on opponents.
- Like the Double Barrel Shotgun, it deals high damage to structures. However in this case its not recommended, unless you have a SMG as a follow-up, because of it having only one shot.
- Rare and above Ranger Shotguns fires faster than the Striker Pump Shotgun even with the reload. However, it is still advised to follow up with an SMG or Assault weapon.
- This weapon is also effective at medium range, having longer range than a Combat Shotgun, but less than a Heavy Shotgun.
- Unlike most other shotguns, it is not recommended to shoot at the head due to the low headshot multiplier and tight spread.

- The Ranger Shotgun is based on a Sports Shotgun, designed for competitive shooting competitions. It draws inspiration from a single barrel Sporting Shotgun such as the Remington 1100 Competition. or DT11 Pro O/U Shotgun albeit with a single barrel instead of two.
- The Ranger Shotgun is referred to as a 'burst shotgun' in promotional material despite firing a single shell per reload.
- The Ranger Shotgun technically has a slightly faster fire rate than the Pump, as the Pump needs 1.67 seconds between each shot and the Ranger only needs 1.35 seconds between each shot (reload) at Legendary rarity.
- The Ranger Shotgun has the same damage drop-off pattern as the Heavy Shotgun. Although it deals significantly more damage at range.
