Rift Butterfly, also known as Reality Butterfly is a type of sentient Rift that is shaped like a butterfly. They seem to be native species of the island that originated from The Zero Point.
History[]
Season 6[]
Due to the actions of the Cube, The Loopers got teleported into The In-Between. They get to rub a butterfly and they then teleport back to The Island.
Zero Crisis Finale[]
When The Zero Point sent out the Reality Wave, Agent Jones turns into a Rift Butterfly to teleport The Looper at the Pure Portals to close them.
Chapter 2: Season 8[]
A rift butterfly was crushed by The Cube Queen.
Chapter 3: Season 3[]
- Update v21.00: They can be found in various places around the island in-game.
- Update v21.50: Blue Butterflies can be found at the Reality Tree and its branches. Gold, Pink, Purple can be found at Spawn Island.
Remix: The Prelude[]
A Rift Butterfly merged Helios with Times Square in New York City, then opened a wormhole between the Fortnite world and New York City as Snoop Dogg and Ice Spice took to the stage to perform.

- Update v32.11: Rift Butterflies can be found at WRLD's Point.
