The Ripsaw Launcher is a Consumable in Fortnite: Battle Royale that was added in Chapter 3: Season 3.
Functionality[]
The Ripsaw Launcher shoots out sawblades that tear through builds. Charging up the weapon will increase the initial sawblade speed. Pickaxing a sawblade will deflect it away, switch the sawblades owner to the player who pickaxed it, and sometimes extend its duration. Individual sawblades can damage the same player multiple times if they stay in its hitbox. Players cannot get damaged by their own sawblade unless it's been redirected by an opponent.
If the player holds down the attack button but doesn't release it, the Ripsaw Launcher can be used as a Melee Weapon. The Ripsaw Launcher will also harvest Materials for the player as well if used as a Melee Weapon.
The Ripsaw Launcher is a projectile weapon, with the First Shot Accuracy enabled. There is no damage falloff on the Ripsaw Launcher's projectiles, but they are affected by gravity.

- The Elimination Feed for a Ripsaw Launcher elimination is "<PLAYER> gave <PLAYER> a Buzzcut."
- The Ripsaw Launcher can be used as a Melee Weapon when charged before firing, doing 8 damage per tick. This damage can also be used effectively against structures.
- 2 or more players firing the Ripsaw Launcher at each other will cause the sawblades to break apart.
- 2 players can effectively play Pong by pickaxing the Sawblades at each other.
