Overview[]
The Rise of Midas Quests were a set of Quests in Fortnite: Battle Royale, available from March 19th 2024 to April 2nd 2024. Rise of Midas Quests were released in Chapter 5: Season 2 and reward players with 
Season XP, the Cerberus Medallion Spray, the Rose of Avarice Back Bling and the Queen in Gold Glider.

He used his free hand to turn the other shackle gold!
Yes. That softened the metal, allowing him to break the shackle and free his other hand.

He transformed into a bat?

Indeed. He touched the cell door to soften the lock, and pushed it open.
Then he walked out of The Underworld, free at last.
Now we know how those Chains of Hades interact with the Golden Touch. That will be useful, I'm sure.
