- In Greek Myth, the River Styx was known as the river of oaths, which meant that it was the highest form of swearing possible. It was also the river the souls took alongside Charon to travel to the Afterlife.
- In Greek Mythology, the Styx was also a goddess of the Underworld and one of the Oceanids. She was also the mother of the goddess of victory, Nike.
- The River Styx also holds the title for the second named water-area. Previously only <CARL> (later Coral Castle) was named which was on accident by the developers.
