The Salvaged B.R.U.T.E. is a vehicle in Fortnite: Battle Royale. It was introduced in Chapter 2: Season 8.
Functionality[]
The Salvaged B.R.U.T.E. is a weaker version of the Season X B.R.U.T.E. which also requires two players to operate properly. It has a driver, who controls the movement of the mech, and a gunner who operates the weaponry. The driver is able to move, stomp the ground to deal damage, leap forwards, and dash. The gunner operates a multi missile launcher and a less powerful shotgun compared to the original B.R.U.T.E. Its location is displayed on the minimap.

Usage[]
- The Salvaged B.R.U.T.E. can be used to destroy builds and easily eliminate enemies in open space with the missiles.
- Use the shotgun in close ranged combats.
- In Solo, you can still fully operate the Salvaged B.R.U.T.E. by switching seats.
- You cannot jump, stomp or boost when the Salvaged B.R.U.T.E. is in water.
Countering[]
- The Salvaged B.R.U.T.E. is easier to counter because of its lower maximum HP. Use high DPS weapons such as SMGs or the Sideways Minigun to quickly destroy the Salvaged B.R.U.T.E.
- In Solo, you can sabotage the Salvaged B.R.U.T.E. by taking an open seat and commanding it to self-destruct.

Chapter 2: Season 8[]
- Update v18.40: Added Salvaged B.R.U.T.E. Funding with a goal of 1 Billion Bars at the Donation Stations.
- November 17th 2021: Salvaged B.R.U.T.E. at Pleasant Park has been fully funded.
- November 19th 2021: Salvaged B.R.U.T.E. at Corny Crops has been fully funded.

Trivia[]
- Like its predecessor, it has the Built-In Emote, The B.R.U.T.A.L. Dab
- Unlike its Season X counterpart, it initially spawns already on the ground in a fixed spot, it only respawns aimed directly at the aforementioned spot, and the shield for the gunner seat cannot be overcharged.
- The B.R.U.T.E., counting both the original version and its Salvaged B.R.U.T.E. variant, was present in both Season X and Chapter 2: Season 8, the ending seasons of, respectively, Chapter 1 and 2, and it was vaulted with the start of the new Season and Chapter.
