- — In-Game Description
Scorpion's Kombat Kit is a Melee Weapon in Fortnite: Battle Royale, that was added in Chapter 6: Season 2.
Functionality[]
Scorpion's Kombat Kit deals extremely high damage at a rapid pace. It has 2 different ways of attacking:
- Attack: The player performs a punch. Repeating the attack consecutively or holding the trigger button executes a combo of 4 attacks: a punch, a kick, a burst of fire breath, and an uppercut. These attacks deal 40, 40, 15 (x4), and 50/45, 45, 20 (x4), and 60 damage respectively, totaling 190/230 damage. The final attack in the combo launches enemies approximately 15 meters forward and around 4 meters upward. Landing each hit of this attack or its variations on a player, vehicle, or structure reduces the durability meter by 1 point (1%).
- Throw Spear: Throws a spear that grabs and pulls enemies from up to 33 meters away, dealing 40/45 damage. The spear can also be used to pull items closer to the user. Landing this attack on a player reduces the durability meter by 5 points (5%), while hitting a structure reduces it by 1 point (1%), and hitting a vehicle causes no reduction.
Scorpion's Kombat Kit has 100 Durability on Epic rarity, and no Durability on Mythic. Once the durability meter reaches 0%, the item breaks and is removed from the player's inventory.

Strategy[]
|
This section outlines a strategy. |
| Feel free to add tips, tricks and general advice about the topic. |
- When engaging in combat, tug your enemy with a spear (secondary attack) from medium distances, which can be effective against a Twin Mag Assault Rifle or Falcon Eye Sniper, then devastate them with a fiery combo for an elimination.
- Following with a Throw Spear, you can also pair with a shotgun (e.g. Infiltrator Pump Shotgun or Twinfire Auto Shotgun) to finish off your enemies at close range.
- After using Throw Spear, you can use a Command Uppercut by crouching and using the weapon's primary attack, launching the opponent in a fixed arc that is easy to predict. You can then follow it up with a shot from a shotgun (preferably Sentinel Pump Shotgun) or by blasting them with the Collateral Damage Assault Rifle, as it is effective at close range.
- Like Sub-Zero's Kombat Kit, an uppercut from a primary attack can knock enemies off areas with high heights (e.g. cliffs and mountains) to inflict fall damage.
Counters[]
- If you are being pulled by a spear, try countering your enemies who use Scorpion's Kombat Kit with a shotgun when engaging in close combat.
- Try moving in an unpredictable manner to lessen your chances of being hit by Throw Spear. Keep your distance by using assault rifles and sniper rifles to minimize the threat of being pulled in.
- You can surprise your enemies with the Kneecapper's Charged Smash to knock them off when being pulled by a spear, then you can eliminate them using mid-to-long range weapons, like Twin Mag Assault Rifle, Veiled Precision SMG, and Scoped Burst SMG.

Trivia[]
- Similar to Sub-Zero's Kombat Kit, Scorpion's Kombat Kit's name and description replaces the standard "C" with a "K", referencing the Mortal Kombat series tradition of replacing the letter "C" with a "K".
- Scorpion's Kombat Kit is the only weapon that does not have the durability meter in Mythic rarity.
- The Fire Breath from the primary attack of Scorpion's Kombat Kit refers to his iconic Fatality move, Toasty!
- In addition, wearing the Scorpion (MK3) Outfit while using his Kombat Kit will make Scorpion take his mask off and reveal his flaming skull like in the games.
- Scorpion's "Get over here!" voice line is taken from Mortal Kombat 4 (1997), while the "Come here!" voice line is taken from Mortal Kombat vs. DC Universe (2008).
- When equipped, the player will enter a stance mirroring Scorpion's idle animation from the classic Mortal Kombat games.
- Like with Sub-Zero's Kombat Kit, the Command Uppercut attack is derived from the move's classic input: Down + High Punch.
- The voice of Shao Kahn (as Mortal Kombat's classic announcer, voiced by Steve Ritchie) can be heard while performing certain actions with this item:
- Picking up the item for the first time in a match trigger the "Scorpion" voice line from Mortal Kombat II's character select screen.
- Hitting an opponent with an uppercut may trigger the announcer's laugh.
- Eliminating an opponent may also trigger the announcer's laugh or, alternatively, the famous "Flawless Victory" voice line if the player secures the elimination without taking any damage.
- The Epic and Mythic rarities use slightly different in-game descriptions.
- Hitting an enemy or getting hit by an opponent's uppercut has a small chance of causing Dan Forden to appear at the bottom right corner of the screen, accompanied with a voice clip of him saying "Toasty!". This references the famous easter egg from the Mortal Kombat games.
- This easter egg was first present with Sub-Zero's Kombat Kit before being removed in a hotfix, although it had no audio at the time.
