Shadow Midas was a Boss in Fortnite: Battle Royale during Fortnitemares 2020: Midas' Revenge, added in Update v14.40. He was found at The Ruins, having 350 Shield and 100 HP. If eliminated, he would drop Shadow Midas' Drum Gun.

Overview
Shadow Midas came back for revenge and reclaimed what used to be The Agency, turning it into The Ruins. He commanded dark spirits known as the Shadows, and led the resurrected Ghostly Ghost Henchmen.
Shadow Midas resembles Midas and wears the same clothing as the Midas outfit's SHADOW style, but he is not entirely golden. The main differences is his all white hair, purple glowing tattoos, light purple eyes, and his ghostly shadow aura. He also has hands that are partially purple rather than gold. His voice is distorted. His name, Shadow Midas, does not refer to the faction. It instead refers to his ghostly appearance.

Trivia
- His purple aura is similar to Kevin the Cube.
- In the Reboot quests in Chapter 2: Season 5, Bunker Jonesy thinks "the Midas that returned isn't the same Midas." This could potentially refer to Shadow Midas, but also to either the original Midas or Midas Rex.
- He would not drop a Keycard after being defeated, similar to the Wolverine boss.
- Many fans expected Epic Games to release Shadow Midas into the item shop, but he unfortunately stayed as TBD and likely was just for the event.
- He was only playable through Mystique's Built-In Emote after being defeated.
- After the v14.50 update, Shadow Midas was heard speaking at The Ruins before it was destroyed in Chapter 2, Season 5. It was as if he haunted the location and his voice seemed to come from the basement of The Ruins, where the Device was built.
- His scarred eye has a slight purple glow instead of it's usual ghostly white.
- On developer accounts he has Epic Rarity.
- His voice lines were based on his original voice lines but they were distorted and/or reversed.
