- — In-Game Description
Shadow Midas' Drum Gun is an Assault Weapon in Fortnite: Battle Royale. It was added in Chapter 2: Season 4. It is a Mythic version of the Legacy Drum Gun.
Functionality[]
Like its original counterpart, Shadow Midas' Drum Gun is a fully automatic, fast firing, closer ranged weapon. It is best used like an SMG, dealing high amounts of damage in a close quarters environment, but being much weaker at extended ranges due to poor accuracy. As it stands, Shadow Midas' Drum Gun plays closer to a Submachine Gun than an Assault Weapon, similar to the Light Machine Gun.
Stats[]
Shadow Midas' Drum Gun uses Medium Bullets and has a headshot multiplier of 1.5x.

Strategy Guide[]
- Shadow Midas' Drum Gun is essentially an SMG in all but name, so it should be used accordingly.
- Pairing Shadow Midas' Drum Gun with a high-damage, slow-firing shotgun, such as the Pump Shotgun or Charge Shotgun, is an excellent combo. Fire your shotgun shot, then quickly switch to Shadow Midas' Drum Gun to finish the opponent off.
- The high DPS of Shadow Midas' Drum Gun paired with its high capacity makes it a great choice for destroying opponents' build pieces at close range.
- If the opponent is hiding behind a wall, you can destroy it with Shadow Midas' Drum Gun and replace it with your own wall, then edit the wall to get off a strong shotgun shot or spray at the opponent further with Shadow Midas' Drum Gun.
Weapon ID[]
Shadow Midas' Drum Gun is referred to as Ghost Midas in the files.

Trivia[]
- Shadow Midas' Drum Gun along with Jules' Drum Gun and Midas' Drum Gun (OG) have identical statistics and function.
- Shadow Midas' Drum Gun currently has several bugs, including:
- The weapon previously made "ghostly" noises when fired; however, in the current versions, these sounds no longer play because the sound files have been removed.
- The weapon once featured a shadowy flame effect (visible in its icon), but this effect no longer appears as the necessary files have also been removed.
- Since its addition to Creative, the name displayed in the Message Feed has incorrectly referred to it as Ghost Midas' Drum Gun.
- This was later incorrectly updated in Chapter 5: Season 2 to Midas' Drum Gun (OG).
- Since Chapter 4: Season 4, the Shadow effect on the weapon's model no longer fully covers the entire gun.
- Shadow Midas' Drum Gun has Newton's equation on the second law of motion (f=ma) on the back of it, similar to Jules' Drum Gun. However this isn't normally supposed to be visible as the Weapon's Shadow Effects cover it.
- For many seasons, the weapon's animations were broken, causing the charging bolt to never move and the magazine to never be pulled out when reloading.
- This bug was fixed with the launch of Chapter 5: Season 1.
