Assault Weapon: A heavy weapon with high damage, an extreme rate of fire, and a huge magazine size. Very inaccurate unless aiming down sights from a fixed position, and firing in short bursts.
— In-Game Description

Shadow Midas' Drum Gun is a Mythic Assault Weapon in Fortnite: Battle Royale. It was added in Chapter 2: Season 4. It is a Mythic version of the Drum Gun, obtained by eliminating Shadow Midas at The Ruins.

Like its original counterpart, Shadow Midas' Drum Gun is a fully automatic, fast firing, closer ranged weapon. It is best used like an SMG, dealing high amounts of damage in a close quarters environment, but being much weaker at extended ranges due to poor accuracy. As it stands, Shadow Midas' Drum Gun plays closer to a Submachine Gun than an Assault Weapon, similar to the Light Machine Gun.

Shadow Midas' Drum Gun deals 24 Damage per shot (204 Damage per second). Shadow Midas' Drum Gun uses Medium Ammo - Icon - Fortnite.png Medium Bullets. Shadow Midas' Drum Gun has a headshot multiplier of 1.5x.

Strategy Guide

The risk was calculated... but man am I bad at math.
This section outlines a strategy. Feel free to add tips, tricks and general advice about the topic.

  • Shadow Midas' Drum Gun is essentially an SMG in all but name, so it should be used accordingly. This means close range hipfire against opponents for the best DPS.
  • Shadow Midas' Drum Gun has a large magazine size so it can be useful for attacking builds for longer periods of time.
  • It can be used as a follow up from a shotgun but can also replace a shotgun due its speed, DPS, and magazine size.

Chapter 3: Season 1

  • Like its original counterpart, the weapon is based off of the American Thompson M1921 'Tommy Gun', specifically one often associated with American Mobsters, and not the Submachine Gun used in World War Two. Shadow Midas' Drum Gun uses the same textures as the Midas' Shadow wrap.
  • This and Jules' Drum Gun have identical statistics and function.
  • It makes "ghostly" noises when fired, however this noise no longer plays if hacked into current versions; this is also true for the version in creative.
  • This weapons reload animation is broken, causing the magazine to never be pulled out of the gun.
