Shanty Town was a landmark in Fortnite: Battle Royale on the island Apollo introduced in Chapter 2: Season 1. It is a run down town west of Sludgy Swamp. Many Slurp Barrels can be found here making it an ideal spot to land and provide maximum shield without searching for Shield Potions. There is a decent amount of loot in this area with 3 Chest spawns so it is most suitable for Solos.

Chapter 2: Season 1

  • Shanty Town was added.

Chapter 2: Season 2

• Update v12.20
  • The faction SHADOW now has forces stationed on the coast of this location, as it is a possible spawning location for the Boss TNTina and her SHADOW Henchmen

Chapter 2: Season 3

• Update v13.00
  • TNTina and her Henchmen have disappeared, and the location has gone completely underwater as direct result from The Device causing the map to flood. In this time, it is not an accessible landmark.
• Update v13.30
  • August 1st - Shanty Town is no longer flooded as the water level drops for the last time. It has regained the ability to be accessed as a landmark.

Chapter 2: Season 5

• Update v15.00
  • This is one of two possible spawn locations for the Big Chuggus character.
• Update v15.30
  • February 11th (Week 11) - A challenge was added to deliver a love potion to either here or Slurpy Swamp.

Chapter 2: Season 6

• Update v16.00
  • Shanty Town has now become the only spawn location for Big Chuggus
