For the article on the the previous version of this location of the same name, please see The Shark Sharky Shell was a Landmark in Fortnite: Battle Royale added in Chapter 2: Season 3, to the island Apollo. It stands as a ruin of what was once The Shark, after the flood destroyed the location, leaving it in a now decayed state. Recognizable points, like the shark's mouth, boarding dock, and Vault are all still relatively intact. It can be found directly north of Coral Castle and west of Pleasant Park.
During Chapter 2: Season 3, the water level decreased periodically over time, revealing more of Sharky Shell as time went on, until it was completely accessible.

It does not function the way the other Sky Platforms used to, and it is located very northwest of Sharky Shell, which is the nearest location on the map to it. It is currently unclear as to why it is found there, but it currently serves no purpose despite having the appearance of being able to teleport players to specific locations.

Trivia[]
- Other loot to be found here include 2 Produce Boxes, 2 Fishing Barrels, and 11 Slurp Barrels in the entirety of the location.
- A common theory surrounding the fate of The Shark's residents is that they escaped prior to the flooding/destruction. This is suggested because when Choppas were added to new locations following C2S2, the landmark never received a spawn location, despite a helipad being present.
- This is not confirmed though.
- Interestingly, even though Sharky Shell is not a Henchmen POI, there initially was a Phone Booth which would allow the plater to disguise themselves as a GHOST Henchmen. This is likely because Epic Games briefly forgot to remove it when updating The Shark (which was a Henchmen POI), as it was later removed.
- On an island bordering Coral Castle and on Coral Cove lie two telescopes both looking at Sharky Shell, with two Porta-Potties that can be used to travel between them.
- At least one of them used to be able to travel to and from The Shark, before the flood.
- Sometimes these Porta-Potties cannot be seen in Replay Mode.
- This is a spawn location for Loot Sharks.
- The reason for its destruction may be because of a possible prisoner, Splode, who could have blown up part of the prison whilst attempting an escape.
- This is supported by the Splode AI spawning at the Unremarkable Shack for both Seasons 5 and 6, which is close to the location.
- In the Agent Jones Quests, three hologram projectors depict Agent Jones jumping, crouching, and flossing. The player must repeat these motions with their character (the flossing indicates emoting) while following a Rift Butterfly in order to receive the Jump 23 style for Agent Jones.
- A bug exists where the Bunker Chest may still be available to see in Replay Mode, despite it not actually being in-game.
- On the bottom floor of the location, there is a clear echo that can be heard whenever the player does anything that produces noise.
- It is one of the last places on the map with an GHOST logo, with the other two being Crash Site and GHOST Big Shots.
- Not including the likely accidental inclusion of a GHOST mug in Defiant Dish.
