- — In-Game Description
The Shield Bubble is a Utility item in Fortnite: Battle Royale, that was added in Season X.
Functionality[]
Upon landing, the Shield Bubble creates a large transparent shield dome around its landing spot. The Shield is able to block projectiles and gunfire, and will block these from both in and outside of the bubble. It will also block the effects of items like the Junk Rift. The Bubble lasts 30 seconds, but can be stopped early by attacking the item itself found in the center of the bubble.
The Shield Bubble is affected by gravity (when the surface it is attached to is destroyed, it will move) and will also move with attached Vehicles.

Strategy Guide[]
- The Shield Bubble is very useful for defending a Vehicle, as it will completely cover any Vehicle in the game, and oftentimes attacking is difficult when in one, so it will not prove detrimental to your squad.
- The Shield Bubble is good for healing, as it allows a decent amount of time to use items such as Medkits or Chug Jugs.
- Or throw it in a nearby bush to create a dummy that pretend to have someone inside.
- The Shield Bubble is an effective counter to the Air Strike or Junk Rift, as both are blocked by the Bubble.
- It's double sided, so if the enemy breaks it with a slow-firing weapon like shotgun, it will provide you a chance to fire at them first.
- Therefore, if you want to break an enemy shield bubble with fire power, do not break it with the last bullet in your magazine - reload when it is nearly broken.

Trivia[]
- The Shield Bubble is very similar to the Bubble Shield in Halo 3 as both are dome shaped shields that can be placed down to protect players that last a limited amount of time, and cannot be shot into or out of. The shield generating devices in the center of both items can be destroyed. Interestingly, both have identical names but with the words swapped.
- However, the Shield Bubble generates a larger dome than the Bubble Shield.
