- — v9.00 Patch Notes[1]
Slipstreams are a Gameplay Feature in Fortnite: Battle Royale. which are airstreams which, when accessed, send the player flying with Glider Redeploy enabled. The Slipstream system was added in Season 9 and revamped in Chapter 2: Season 8. The original Slipstreams returned in Chapter 3: Season 3.
Functionality[]
Slipstreams are are tunnels of wind that push the player in a specific direction. When a player enters a slipstream, they are able to fly within the Slipstream's tunnel area, allowing you to travel more effectively. Moving out of the Slipstream Tunnel prompts you to skydive with the ability to Glider Redeploy. You can change your direction in a Slipstream by moving the other way while being in the tunnel, allowing the Slip Stream to move you through that direction.
Slipstreams auto-disable after the 5th Storm Circle closes in.
