Sniper Rifles are long-range weapons that tend to pack a powerful punch. The four types can be selected based on trade-offs: Bolt-Action has higher damage, but lower fire rate and reload speed; Semi-Automatic has higher capacity, quicker fire and reload, but the lowest damage; Hunting Rifles have moderate stats, but have no scope; Heavy Snipers have extremely high damage, but take 4 seconds to reload; the Automatic Sniper Rifle has an automatic fire rate; and the Storm Scout Sniper Rifle has a storm detector that allows you to determine the next storm circle ahead of time.

Weapon Tips

Sniper Rifles are best for long-range combat, because they are accurate from far away. They are perfect for the early game, but as the storm gets closer, it may not be ideal to have a Sniper Rifle.

Bolt-Action Sniper Rifle

Ranges from Uncommon to Legendary. It is a go-to weapon for the early game.

Semi-Automatic Sniper Rifle (vaulted)

Available in Uncommon are Rare rarities. With a magazine size of 10, you don’t have to reload per shot.

Hunting Rifle (vaulted)

Avaiable in Uncommon and Rare rarities. It is a go-to weapon, despite having no scope.

Heavy Sniper Rifle

Available in Epic and Legendary rarities. It is a good weapon, and can do good damage.

Automatic Sniper Rifle (vaulted)

Ranges from Rare to Legendary. With an automatic fire rate, it is a go-to weapon. This weapon was more of a Scoped Assault Rifle than a Sniper Rifle

Storm Scout Sniper Rifle (vaulted)

Available in Epic and Legendary rarities. Not very powerful, but allows you to determine the next 2 storms ahead of time.

Notes

  • Unlike other weapons, players need to account for bullet drop when using rifles. The greater the range of the shot, the more the bullet drops on the way to the target.
    • In general, the greater the distance to the target, the lower players should line up their shots with the hashmarks below the center of the crosshairs.
