The Snow Biome refers to areas covered with snow in Fortnite: Battle Royale. In addition to the areas covered with snow temporarily due to an event, there are three other subcategories :
- The Ice biome which appeared for the first time on the southwest side of Athena added in Season 7, it's a large area of ice and snow, there are notably frozen lakes.
- The Snowy Mountain biome which initially appeared very minimally at the Viking Village added during Season 5 and appeared completely on the southeast side of Apollo added in Chapter 2: Season 1. This biome is a classic mountainous area simply covered with snow, without ice, the rivers and lakes remain normal.
- The Boreal Snow and Boreal Tundra biomes which were added to the island of Helios in Chapter 5: Season 1.

Season 5[]
- The mountain where the Viking Village is located is covered in snow
Season 6[]
- Polar Peak Iceberg was seen to the south of Flush Factory, getting closer and closer to the island.
Season 7[]
- The Iceberg crushed Flush Factory turning the South West side of Athena into an Ice Biome with snow.
- The snow gradually spread beyond the Ice Biome.
- The snow covered entirely twice and melted afterwards.
Season 8[]
- More snow has melted, but much of it still exceeds the ice extents.
Season 9[]
- The Devourer destroyed Polar Peak and escaped.
Season X[]
- Greasy Grove returned removing more snow.
Chapter 2: Season 1[]
- Snowy Mountain biome is added on the top of mountains.
- Snow covered the map for Winterfest 2019
Chapter 2: Season 2[]
- All the snow melted exept on the top of mountains.
Chapter 2: Season 5[]
- Snow covered the entire mountain biome on the South East during Operation: Snowdown, it was removed after the event ended.
Chapter 3: Season 1[]
- A large part of Artemis was covered in snow during Winterfest 2021.
- The biome was reduced to the top left corner of Artemis, becoming simple Snowy Mountain biome.
- Covert Cavern is added.
Chapter 3: Season 2[]
- Covert Cavern became Command Cavern.
Chapter 3: Season 3[]
- Command Cavern transformed into Rave Cave.
- Due to Logjam Lumberyard transforming into Logjam Lotus, the snow around it has vanished.
Chapter 3: Season 4[]
- Chrome arrives in the snow biome.
- Shifty Shafts gets replaced with Grim Gables.
- In the Fracture Live Event, both Snow biomes from Apollo and Artemis were destroyed.
Chapter 4[]
- The Zero Point pulls in a large part of the snow and ice biome.
- The Jungle has destroyed part of the Ice Biome, exposing Cold Cavern
- Sanguine Suites has been added, removing more of the snow, Lonely Labs and a few landmarks
Chapter 5[]
- The Boreal Forest and Boreal Tundra is convered with snow during Winterfest 2023
- After Winterfest 2023, the snow has melted making Rebel's Roost, Lavish Lair, and parts of Classy Courts and Hazy Hillside no longer covered with snow.
- The Olympus biome has been added, thus removing a large part of the snow biome and Hazy Hillside entirely
- The Forged Forest biome has been added, removing a small part of the snow biome with Castle Doom.

Trivia[]
- The Snow from Artemis was supposed to be removed but due to many people asking for it to stay, Epic Games kept it.
- The Snow around Logjam Lumberyard was removed in the shape of a circle just like Greasy Grove when it returned in Season X.
