This article is about the guards from Chapter 5: Season 1. For the Item Shop Outfits, see Tactical Grunt Legionnaire and Heavy Elite Legionnaire.

Guards[]

Society Guards, also known as Legion Security Elite were hostile Guards in Fortnite: Battle Royale. They were introduced during Chapter 5: Season 1.

Description[]

Society Guards are distinguished by Class and Rank. Which determines what weapons they hold and what roles they play.

  • Grunts
    • Legion Grunts are normal Guards that can be found in The Society controlled POIs and will shoot at the player if they notice them. Additionally, they will rally towards a Society Boss if they are under attack.
  • Elites
    • Legion Elites are slightly stronger Society Guards that normally appear as a Commanding Officer to the Grunts. The Tactical Elites spawn at Forecast Towers while the Heavy Elites patrol at Society controlled Landmarks not occupied by a Society Boss. Two of both or either types are also summoned when a Society Boss activates their Enragement Ability.

Trivia[]

  • Society Guards are the first Guards to fill in both roles of Guards and Bosses.
    • Legion Elites protect Landmark vaults of The Society, dropping Keycards when defeated while also not having visible Health Bars.
  • Legion Tactical Guard's voicelines utilize the same samples used by the Heavy Marauders during Chapter 2: Season 3.
  • Legion Heavy Guard's voicelines utilize the same samples used by the IO Guards during Chapter 2: Season 7.
  • The Society Guards' Idle voicelines incorporate the Walkie Talkie sounds from the Low Cards.
    • In addition, they can both be heard communicating to each other through their Walkies much like the Low Cards.
  • The Common NPC Outfits used for the Legion Tactical Guards and Legion Heavy Guards that are only available on developer accounts show that they both have alternate styles. The Default Rank style is used for the Legion Grunts while the Royal Rank style is used for the Legion Elites.
    • The Legion Tactical Guard's Outfit ID is Character_EchoAngel_NPC.
    • The Legion Heavy Guard's Outfit ID is Character_EchoNyx_NPC.
