LTM Rules and Gameplay[]
Solid Gold is an altered version of the standard Battle Royale mode, except all weapons are Legendary. Every Chest and Ammo Box will be its rare counterpart. Resource multipliers and ammo pickup rates have also increased for this LTM.
Rule Differences[]
- Loot Pool is altered significantly, both by rarity and available items. Loot Pool changes depending on season, but can contain Vaulted Weapons.
- Resources are increased when harvesting.
- Ammo Pickups spawn with more ammo per pickup.
- Fishing is Disabled, and so are items associated with them, such as Fishing Rods and Rusty Cans.
Strategy Guide[]
- For Solid Gold, it is not as important to spend time looting other players or areas, as high quality loot is in abundance. Find a weapon you are comfortable with, and focus on gathering healing items, as all damage is higher in this mode.
- Since many Explosive Weapons are unvaulted, it may be a good idea to stack up on 2 or 3 of them to spam enemies with, to deal massive damage in quick succession without reloading.
Trivia[]
- There is a Team Rumble variant of this LTM, named Team Rumble Solid Gold. As expected, it works the same as Team Rumble, but with Legendary weapons.
- Due to restrictions on Rockets, Explosive Weapons in this mode drop far more ammo than the player can carry.
- The Spire Jumpboots could still be found in this mode in Chapter 2: Season 6, via their normal method.
- Rare Chests are 100% in this mode, and as such during Chapter 2: Season 4, this mode could have been abused to complete the Rare Chest Punch Card.
- Even though there was still a challenge for Rare Chests in Chapter 3: Season 3, the mode did not allow that Milestone to be tracked.
- During Chapter 3: Season 3, Solid Gold was enabled the entire season, but only if players had added the mode to their favorites at some point in the past.
