Sprite Shrines are Unnamed Locations and a Gameplay Mechanic in Fortnite: Battle Royale, that were added in Chapter 6: Season 1 to the island of Oninoshima.

Overview[]

Sprite Shrines can be found all across Oninoshima, emitting a white beacon of light while also accompanied with floor loot and one or two Chests.

Approaching a Sprite Shrine without either the Wind or Air Sprite in the player's Inventory will allow them to Reveal Nearby Sprites, which temporarily pings all nearby Sprites and displays what element they posses in a large radius.

With either of the two Sprites, the player will have the option to Return Sprite To Shrine, removing the Sprite from their Inventory and offering them back to the Shrine. Returning its Sprite Energy to the Shrine and rewarding the player with Rare Weaponry and other supplies. This does not consume the Sprite and it will be returned once the sequence is complete. Leaving the Shrine embedded with the Sprite's element emblem and making it uninteractable for the remainder of the match.
