The Striker Pump Shotgun is a Shotgun in Fortnite: Battle Royale. It was introduced in Chapter 3: Season 1.

Functionality

The Striker Pump Shotgun is a slow firing, high damage shotgun. It is deadly at close range with a tight spread, but fires slowly to compensate. It is very weak at medium to long ranges.

Stats

Striker Pump Shotguns range from dealing 91 to 110 damage per shot (59.15 - 71.5 damage per second). All Striker Pump Shotguns use Ammo Shells - Icon - Fortnite.png Shells. The Striker Pump Shotgun has a headshot multiplier of 1.68x and a max damage cap of 185.

The Striker Pump Shotgun reloads 1 shell at a time, and its reload time statistic is how long it takes for a zero ammo reload to a full magazine.

The Striker Pump Shotgun is a hitscan weapon, but fires a spread of 12 pellets when both aiming down sights and hipfiring. Aiming down sights tightens the spread of pellets.

Damage falloff:

  • Damage falloff begins at 7 meters (1.5 tiles).
  • Damage decreases down to 88% of its maximum at 10 meters (2 tiles).
  • Damage steadily decreases down to 65% of its maximum at 15 meters (3 tiles).
  • It deals damage until 30 meters (6 tiles).

  • This shotgun has a slower fire rate than many other shotguns. If you are reloading this shotgun, make sure to check for opponents that can possibly attack you.
  • A fast-firing weapon to follow up to is recommended, such as a submachine gun or assault weapon, as the Striker Pump Shotgun is quite slow to shoot and is rather unpredictable at medium distances, sometimes dealing very low damage. A good strategy is to fire the Striker Pump Shotgun to do a lot of damage then following up with a fast firing weapon to eliminate your enemy.
  • The Striker Pump Shotgun is incapable of quickly destroying structures due to its extremely lowered structure damage.
    • It is best to pair the Striker Pump Shotgun with a Stinger SMG which can be used to quickly break builds, switch to the pump for high initial damage, and switching back to the SMG to finish the enemy.
  • The Striker Pump Shotgun is a very powerful shotgun in Battle Royale, at the cost of having a low fire rate and small ammo capacity of five rounds.

History

Chapter 3: Season 1

  • Update v19.00: Introduced the Striker Pump Shotgun in Common, Uncommon, Rare, Epic and Legendary.
  • December 10, 2021: Increased the accuracy of the Striker Pump Shotgun and increased the fire rate by 0.05 across all rarities (From 0.6 to 0.65).

Chapter 3: Season 2

  • Update v20.30: Increased damage from 86.4/91.2/96/100.8/105.6 to 103.2/108/114/120/126 (this also increased the DPS of the weapon), increased the minimum pellet-hit count from 3 to 4 and added a max damage cap of 185.

Chapter 3: Season 3

  • Update v21.00: Introduced a Mythic Version to Fortnite: Creative.
  • July 12, 2022: Decreased damage from 103.2/108/114/120/126 to 91.2/96/100.8/105.6/110.4 (headshot damage remains the same) due to the headshot multiplier being increased from 1.47x to 1.68x.
  • Update v21.30: Fixed the Mythic Striker Pump Shotgun's Stats.

Trivia

  • The Striker Pump Shotgun is likely inspired by the Italian Benelli M4, due to the similarities in the designs of both weapons.
