Disambig gray This article is about a Loot Crate in Battle Royale. For a Save the World Gadget, see Supply Drop (Save the World). For a Season 4 Battle Pass Loading Screen, see Supply Drop (Loading Screen).

Supply Drops are special Containers in Fortnite: Battle Royale. They were introduced in the Pre-Season.

Functionality[]

Supply Drops are a unique container which spawn differently to most others in the game. Unlike Chests, Supply Drops (aside from those found in Vaults, or Pawntoon) do not spawn at the start of a match. Instead, Supply Drops will spawn later into the game at randomized locations within The Storm circle. They will spawn high in the air attached to a Balloon, which can be destroyed to plummet the drop the ground quicker. When the player can access them, they must be opened to spawn loot, and cannot be broken.

The Balloon health changes depending on mode, having the most health in Squads and the least in Solo.

Supply Drops contain high tier weapons, several consumables and a good amount of materials. Supply Drops are also physics objects, and will float when on water, and move down stream if landing in a river.

Dial-A-Drop[]

Main Page: Dial-A-Drop

The Dial-A-Drop is an item which allows players to spawn one of three Supply Drop like drops, One for Healing Items, One for Normal Gear and one to spawn a modified Truck.

Loot Pool[]

Supply Drops grant 1 Epic or Legendary Weapon, along with its Ammunition. Additionally, 30 of Wood, Stone, and Metal will drop, alongside some consumables.

Epic Weapons will have a 75% Spawn Chance and Legendary Weapons will have a 25% Spawn Chance, making it more likely to receive an Epic Weapon rather than a Legendary Weapon.

The weapons spawned by a Supply Drop change from season to season, and update to update. As long as a weapon is obtained in a standard way, such as from Floor Loot or chests, and is of Epic or Legendary rarity, it will likely be found in Supply Drops.

Strategy Guide[]

Calculated - Emote - Fortnite
This section outlines a strategy.
Feel free to add tips, tricks and general advice about the topic.

  • Lots of players will try to collect the Supply Drop. Be cautious of your surroundings if you decide to try and get one. Protect yourself by building around you if needed. Or watch from a distance of somebody else attempting to loot, and be ready to ambush them if needed.
  • Supply Drops can be shot down instead of waiting for its descent. They have a balloon integrity, or it's balloon "health", so they will take some time to shoot down. Only shooting the balloon will have any effect.
  • If you have a sniper, you can use the drop as bait and snipe the target when they are trying to open the drop, or shortly after.
  • The Rail Gun and the Saucer's blast can quickly destroy the hot air balloon carrying a Supply Drop.
