The Tactical DMR is a Marksman Rifle in Fortnite: Battle Royale. It was introduced in Chapter 4: Season 4.
Functionality[]
The Tactical DMR is a semi automatic, moderately slow firing marksman rifle with a adjustable scope. It has a medium-sized magazine and can deal high damage over range. The scope can be switched between a normal DMR scope or close to a sniper rifle's.

- Take advantage of the Tactical DMR's adjustable scope, as the max zoom is similar to that of a sniper rifle.
- Take caution when backed in a corner, as the weapon has a slow fire rate compared to other DMR's like the Thermal or Cobra.
- Try getting your hands on a Legendary Tactical DMR since the damage is high enough to eliminate an opponent in 2 or 4 shots (3 or 5 in Zero Build) and the weapon has no damage fall-off.
- Try to get the Scoped Salvo and Marksman Headshot augments to do a whopping 103 headshot with a Legendary Tactical DMR, which can eliminate a player in 2 well placed shots at full Health and Shield. (3 for full Health, Shield, and Overshield Im Zero Build)
Counters[]
- The Tactical DMR can be a bit overwhelmed by faster firing DMRs, especially at close-mid range, since it is very reliant on headshots. Using one of these faster firing DMRs or an Assault Rifle can be beneficial when engaged with an opponent wielding a Tactical DMR.

Trivia[]
- The Tactical DMR is the first weapon to have an adjustable scope.
- This is the 5th weapon with the prefix "Tactical." Despite this, it doesn’t function like other tactical weapons, most being fast firing with low damage, but the Tactical DMR is slow firing with high damage.
- The Tactical DMR is based on a modernized version of the AR-10.
- Near the front of the gun's body, there appears to be text saying "Gotcha!!" alongside a drawing of a smiley face with crossed out eyes.
- The magazine of the weapon has visible tally marks. The value in question is unknown since the drawing depicts three vertical lines slashed by another line.
