The Baller is a Vehicle in Fortnite: Battle Royale. It was introduced in Season 8.
Functionality[]
The Baller seats one player, who acts as the driver of the vehicle. The Baller can move in any direction, and will spin on an axis when the player moves the camera around. The Baller has two methods of propulsion: A Boost and a Grappler.
The Boost allows players to move forward at great speeds for a small amount of time. This boost can destroy structures.
The Grappler functions similar to the item of the same name. However, unlike the item it will not yank the player towards the grapple location, but rather acts as a tether, allowing the ball to swing around a location. This can be used to gain enough momentum to launch the Baller into the air, and swing between structures. This grapple has infinite uses.
As the baller is damaged, it becomes cracked and will eventually shatter. This allows players to hurt the driver of a baller. Once the vehicle takes enough damage it will break and will only hurt a player if it breaks high into the air, due to fall damage.
Obtained[]
Ballers could have been found at Rave Cave. They spawned in small docking stations to prevent them rolling away. They had a 100% spawn rate.
Strategy Guide[]
- The Baller can be used to traverse great distances at high speeds, due to its unlimited grappler usage.
- The Baller is ideal for quickly escaping a foe, as the baller will grant 400 HP worth of damage resistance, before the player is harmed.

Season 8[]
- Update v8.10: Added the Baller
- Update v8.20: The Baller no longer deals impact damage to players (Previously dealt 9-15 damage)
- Update v8.30: Players can now shatter the glass protecting the driver, allowing damage to be dealt to them whilst driving the vehicle.
Season X[]
- Update v10.00: Vaulted the Baller.
Chapter 3: Season 3[]
- Update v21.00: Unvaulted the Baller.
- Now has a limited charge which cannot be refuelled.
- Max HP increased from 150 to 400.
- Changed the reticle to match that of Spider-Man's Web Shooters and the Grapple Gloves.
Chapter 3: Season 4[]
- Update v22.00: Vaulted the Baller.
Chapter 4: Season OG[]
- Update v27.11 Hotfix: Unvaulted the The Baller.
- Update v27.11 Hotfix Patch: Increased The Ballers spawn rate from 1% to 100%.
Chapter 5: Season 1[]
- Update v28.00: Vaulted the Baller.

Trivia[]
- The Baller replaced the X-4 Stormwing spawn locations at Frosty Flights upon vaulting the latter vehicle.
- The Baller is very similar to the character Wrecking Ball from Overwatch. They are both spherical, and use a grapple as the primary method of traversal. They also both deal contact damage, although this feature was removed from the Baller.
