- — In-Game Description
The Final Showdown was a Live Event in Season 9. Since releasing the Monster Team Banner and the Mecha Team Banner in the Item Shop, alongside a sign saying 'I 🖤' with a picture of Mech's head on the sign, the event was assumed to be The Devourer and Mecha fighting.
Beforemath[]
Before the Mecha Team Leader's creation, the Imagined Order was happy to let The Devourer destroy everything on the Island, but were still worried that it would harm The Zero Point. The Paradigm voluntereed to pilot the Mech. They threatened her that if she didn't do things they wanted, they would create a Doomsday Machine to wipe everything in The Loop. At Pressure Plant, The Government help Singularity create the Mech.
The Event[]
The Devourer emerged outside Athena, appearing between The Block and Lazy Lagoon with The Ice King's castle perched atop him. Upon arrival on the Island, The Devourer fired a laser beam around the area, though it caused no immediate damage. It then attempted to open the Vault to retrieve the power orb contained within and devour it. Meanwhile, Mecha began its activation and emerged from Pressure Plant to confront The Devourer.
The battle started with Mecha launching rockets at The Devourer, completely destroying The Ice King's castle in the process. In retaliation, The Devourer fired its laser beam, knocking Mecha off its feet and damaging it. However, Mecha quickly recovered, charged at The Devourer, and tackled it into the river west of the battlefield. For a moment, Mecha appeared victorious, but The Devourer re-emerged, ambushing Mecha and biting through its rocket fuel and left arm, it seriously damaged the robot. Despite the setback, Mecha fought back, losing an arm in the process and made its way to the Vault. While it was going to be out of Power, the Mecha pierced though the Vault and retrieved the power orb, energizing itself with its infinite power.
Using the orb's energy, Mecha delivered a powerful punch, knocking The Devourer to the ground. Mecha then grabbed the statue from Neo Tilted, which was revealed to be a hidden sword. Injecting the orb's energy into the sword before both opponent jumped at each other in a dramatic slow-motion scene, Mecha stabbed The Devourer through its single eye, ultimately defeating the beast. With the battle over, Mecha performed the No Sweat Emote—a version of the Floss with only one arm—saluted the Island, and then flew off to The Ice Moon.
Aftermath[]
As a result of the conflict, the Devourer's skeletal remains lay on the island, his skeleton became the site of a grove of strange purple/pink plants. This is believed to be caused by a leak from the Sword, which has a purplish color and blocky texture, likely because it appears to be made from The Cube's remains.
The most relevant change, however, is the release of The Zero Point, which would cause the fabric of Time to collapse and The Seven to return for Season X causing the whole map to go into a black hole for the end of Chapter 1. When Reality Zero reemerges, the remains of the Devorer was placed on Artemis. The Mecha is left on the Ice Moon for 11 seasons with The Paradigm. At the end of Chapter 3: Season 2, The Seven repairs the Mecha for the Collision event.
